We're seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst (Workday) to join our team at Meltwater. This position focuses on ongoing improvements of Workday, as the center of the HR technology ecosystem, in support of HR initiatives and business growth while delivering an engaging employee and manager experience. Working within the HRIS function, this role will partner with HR and business leaders to understand business needs, define requirements, and architect, configure, test, and support systemic solutions in assigned functional areas of Workday. Essential duties will be performed while keeping quality, integrity, and security of HR information at the forefront of all activities.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide Workday subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support and development including business process configuration, reporting, mass data processing (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support.
- Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership on Workday HCM best practices.
- Partner with business leaders to understand pain points, prioritize requirements and identify opportunities to improve processes and gain efficiency by leveraging Workday functionality.
- Create and maintain clear, comprehensive, documented business requirements for requested changes, enhancements, or projects; accountable for articulating functional processes from beginning to end and providing thought leadership on functionality and design.
- Provide change management expertise when rolling out new and/or improved functionality to maximize adoption and prioritize a great customer experience.
- Maintain awareness of Workday future releases / roadmap and the potential impact of those plans on current and future Workday functionality.
- Responsible for the thorough testing and analysis of new Workday features and functionality and participates in release planning, accountable for regression testing, unit testing, User Acceptance testing and pre-launch testing / sign-off for new features or enhancements.
- Collaborate with other internal and external SMEs in the Workday ecosystem to leverage knowledge, alternative solutions, and best practices to ensure a holistic best-practice approach.
- Mentor and guide more junior colleagues for their roles in leading processes/practices, configuration and testing.
- Provide excellent customer service in response to inquiries and resolve inquiries accurately and timely.
What You’ll Bring:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with Workday functional configuration across three or more HCM modules such as Payroll, Absence and Time-Tracking, supporting a mid-to-large-sized business.
- 3+ years of experience with cross-functional Workday administration including security design and business process management.
- 2+ years of experience in HRIS project management including analysis, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.
- Proven Workday functional expertise in assigned areas of support – i.e. an awareness of what Workday can and cannot do, familiarity with delivered functionality and reports, and experience performing straightforward administrative tasks in Workday.
- Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Functional experience with broad HR practices and program development that allows you to understand the needs of stakeholders across the HR functions preferred.
- Compliance experience in PII, GDPR, SOX preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Workday Pro certifications in one or more HCM functional modules preferred.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders, HR professionals, managers, and employees, regarding Workday functionality, capabilities or limitations and change management.
- High degree of customer-centric mindset and personal accountability, with a track record for delivering results, team collaboration and strong analytical acumen.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, comfortable adapting to change and bringing a sense of resilience to a scaling operations team.
- Ability to work on and time-manage multiple assigned projects in parallel while meeting target deadlines.
- Ability to exercise discretion and show good judgment; honesty, integrity, and trust-building behaviors in all dealings is essential and required in this role.
- Openness to a hybrid work schedule, requiring two days in the office per week.
- Legal eligibility to work in the country of hire is essential for this position.

Compensation Overview:
- Competitive Compensation – Base Salary of $98,000 - $116,000 CAD per year + annual bonus of 10%, subject to the terms of the applicable bonus plan.
- Total compensation range for this position: $107,800- $127,600 CAD per year.
